Big Nursery/House Group Summer Sharings

Let’s cut paper!

Items Needed:
Paper (card stock, tissue paper, wrapping paper, flyers, newspaper, magazines)

Optional:
Tape, Glue, Stickers
Anything that the child is OK to use and cut

Special Note: Please supervise your child when using scissors.

Let’s make sushi!

Ingredients Needed:
1 cup cooked rice (short grain)
Some Fillings – cucumber, carrot, avocado, raw sushi grade fish, ham, cheese, anything you like!
1 teaspoon sweetener (maple syrup)
1 Tablespoon vinegar (apple cider or rice)
Soy sauce/Tamari

Special Note: Sticky cooked rice is very sticky – avoid some of the rice sticking by slightly wetting your child’s hands before touching the rice.
