Play Mountain Place was founded in 1949 by Phyllis and Manny Fleishman. Phyllis believed that focusing on children was necessary for building a peaceful world. Out of this belief evolved the foundational values and practices of Play Mountain Place that have been in place for decades: our child-centered approach to learning, the implementation of our anti-bias curriculum, and our commitment to maintaining a diverse community. The role of the Board of Trustees is to safeguard these values and practices, while ensuring that our school evolves and grows in response to the needs of our families and children.
Thank you for joining us at the Annual State of the School on Wednesday, January 15, and approving — as a community — our Board members for the coming year. We look forward to continuing to share our work with you toward our 75th anniversary, a just and equitable world, and providing for the financial stability of our school.
Current Board Member Information can be found here.
If you have any questions for the Board, please email them to Ann T. Rosato, Board President at ann@playmountain.org.
As always, thank you for all of your support.
