At Play Mountain Place, our campus is more than just a back-drop. It’s a co-teacher.
As we look back on the milestone of 75 years of child-led discovery, we are more committed than ever to trusting children to lead their own learning in spaces that invite curiosity and honor a sense of self.
That’s why we’re launching an initiative to revitalize our campus by repairing, repainting, and restoring the spaces where our children grow, question, and explore both who they are and the world around them.
This is not about polish: it’s about presence. Every child’s journey matters, and this is their Place.

Places Where Memories Were Made

• Restore Manny Fleishman’s tilework
• Refresh the beloved fish, tractor, rocket, and tower

Places That Feel Like Home
These are the rooms where children create their plans, cook, clean, rest, imagine, and grow, often alongside the adults who support them. Help us keep them warm, functional, and full of life.
• Renovate the kitchen with new cabinets, sink, floor, and appliances
• Renovate all five student bathrooms
• Refresh the library by removing old carpet and installing new flooring
• Increase natural light and airflow throughout our spaces
• Refresh aspects of Phyllis House for both children and adult gatherings
